But what is Alpha?
The Alpha program is a welcoming, open space where people can explore life’s big questions and the basics of the Christian faith in a relaxed and friendly environment. Each session includes shared refreshments and food, a short video, followed by discussion, and an opportunity for honest conversation in small groups.
Alpha is designed for everyone – whether you’re new to church, returning after time away, or simply curious about faith. There’s no pressure, and no question is off-limits. It’s a place to connect with others, share perspectives, and reflect on topics like purpose, meaning, Jesus, prayer, and the Bible.
At its heart, Alpha is about creating community and offering a safe space to explore what it means to follow Jesus.
Joinly hosted by Barrhaven Fellowship, Sequioa Community Church, and Neighbours Church, Alpha is every Thursday evening. Fellowship and food at 5:30 pm, with the Alpha program starting at 6 pm.
