Before the joy of Christmas, there is a voice that calls us to prepare. Centuries before Jesus’ birth, Isaiah spoke words of comfort to a weary people: “Prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” Generations later, John the Baptist called hearts to turn back to God, to make room for His coming.
As we travel through the season of Advent, preparation is not just about lighting candles or hanging decorations – it’s about clearing the clutter of our hearts, making space for grace, and readying ourselves for the arrival of the King.
