September 2009
Hi. I’m Daryl. I’m thirty-six, and a married father of three. I like hiking, mountain biking, playing harmonica, living in Barrhaven, and a good round of golf. I like to think I’m a pretty normal guy. (Those who remember me for my Red Green impersonations might say otherwise, and that’s fine.) I also pastor this great church in town called Barrhaven Fellowship. I do this for two reasons. The first is that they asked me to ten years ago, and I said yes. The second is that I really believe God has called local churches to shine with hope and love in their local communities, and that my gifts and passions are suited to helping a church do just this.
Want to connect? Call or email me, or drop by our church facility on a Sunday morning at ten. That’s when we stop and drop everything else that’s going on to be reminded of who we are (God’s children) and what we’re doing here (loving God and our neighbours). I’m working through a series of messages right now called “It’s Time for the Reign of God” that is based on some of Jesus’ most famous words – his ‘Sermon on the Mount’. Now might be a good time to come by and hear about this good news of Jesus. (It’s actually a lot better than just ‘good’.)
Together with you on the Way,
Daryl
